Asian Development Bank on June 3 in Manila announced that, starting in 2008, the bank will invest 1 billion U.S. dollars every year for Asian countries to cleaner energy development and utilization. The main objective of short-term investment plan is to promote the efficient use of energy projects, and long-term goals include solar, wind and tidal power generation projects and other investments.
