Sanyo Electric Plans Occupy The Global Solar Cell Market Share Of 10%

Japan electronics giant Sanyo Electric Company on the 5th, 2020 in the plan before its solar cell production increased more than 10 times, reaching 4,000 megawatts a year, which occupy 10% of the global market share.

According to a Reuters report, 2007, Sanyo of the global solar cell market share of 4.4 percent.

Because of high oil prices on global warming and people's worries intensified, the global solar and other renewable energy demand growth accelerated.

It is reported that in fiscal 2007 (the end of March this year), Sanyo Electric's solar cell output of 260 megawatts.

Earlier this year, Sanyo said it planned over the next three years in the field of solar energy business into 70 billion yen (about 739 million U.S. dollars), bringing the annual output to 650 megawatts.

Currently in the global field of solar cells, Sanyo's main competitors include Japan's Sharp, Germany Q-Cells and China Sheung Tak and Power Company Limited.
