The Kurdish region of Iraq to export 100,000 barrels of oil

Baghdad, April 8 reported that the Iraqi Kurdish regional government (KRG) Minister of Natural Resources Ashti Hawrami today published in the official government Web site a statement that the Kurdish regional government in Iraq every day from oil exports in the region of 100,000 barrels of oil.

He said, KRG has been completed before the Kurdish region in northern Iraq oil fields and to the Turkish port of Ceyhan oil export pipeline to connect, but, he said, adding that such exports have to get the federal Oil Ministry in Baghdad's approval.

Media reported in November last year, said, KRG and the central government has to solve the Kurdish region of Turkey oil export dispute, however, subsequently denied that there was the matter of Baghdad.

The central government in Baghdad and the KRG in many Kurds with foreign companies signed contracts and oil revenues of oil and gas law to date there are still serious differences. Baghdad that these oil and gas contract is null and void because they did not receive the approval of the Central Government.

Hawrami said, KRG intends by the end of 2010 the Kurdish region from oil production 450,000 barrels of oil.
